Review: Conair 1" You Curl Curling Wand
I received the Conair You Curl Curling Wand (1") for Christmas, and I decided to do a review. I am adding a picture below:
Isn't it beautiful (lol).
Now, I must first mention that this is my first curling iron, and that my review will be based on my singular time curling my hair with this or any other curling iron. So it's really more of a first impressions. I must also state that I have naturally curly/wavy hair, and I curled my hair when it was natural.
This flat iron is seriously amazing. I love it. It has a tapered barrel, and no clamp, because it's a curling wand. The heat setting go from 200 something degrees to 400 degrees. I had it on the 360 degree setting which is for thick or wavy hair.
It worked extremely well, and heated up in about 20-30 seconds. The curls stayed in all day, thanks in part to my hairspray, l'oreal extra strong hold, which I reccommend.
It was easy to use, but I did find that as you were wrapping your hair around it, it slid toward the end because it got smaller at the end. It created perfect curls, not super tight, and not beachy waves, but nice loose curls. It also didn't look like my hair had originally been wavy when I finished.
My only real complaint is that the glove that came with it only covered your thumb and 2 fingers, and was also too big for me (I have small hands). I chose not to use it, because it made it hand to maneuver my hair. I didn't even come close to burning myself though,
All in all this gets 4.75 out of 5 stars, simply because I never give anything five stars. Oh, what the hell. 5 stars. it's amazing.
